Mohamed Saeed Haidan achieved a remarkable double triumph in both the Big Tour and Open Class, while young rider Ibrahim Khaled al-Kuwari secured top in the Amateur Riders’ category, marking the conclusion of the fifth round of the Qatar Equestrian Tour – Longines Hathab at the outdoor arena of the Qatar Equestrian Federation on December 2.
In the 150cm class of the Big Tour, Haidan exhibited outstanding performance riding bay gelding Dejavu, completing a faultless round in 45.22 seconds. He claimed the top podium position, with Khalid Mohamed El Emadi (39.57 seconds; 4 faults) on Little Lord Pezi 2 in second place and Rashid Towain al-Marri on Incredible W (43.07 seconds; 4 faults) securing the third spot. Eng. Nasser Mubarak Al-Hajri presented the awards to the winners.
Haidan continued his success in the 125cm Open Class, riding Miss Chili flawlessly in a best time of 53.30 seconds. Mohamed Dhafi Al-Marri on Destiny 297 claimed the second position (53.89 seconds), and Ali Saeed Al-Misned on Sealine closely followed in third place (53.91 seconds). Faisal Al-Kahla, Deputy Tournament Director, and Abdullah al-Qashouti, Longines Hathab Media Director, honored the top three finishers.
In the Amateur Riders’ category, Ibrahim Khalid al-Kuwari impressed by guiding Just in Time to a faultless victory in 24.43 and 22.94 seconds (Table A, Special two phases, Art. 274.2.5 100cm). Hadi Nasser al-Shahwani on Beyonce secured the second position (25.54 and 23.26 seconds), while Saoud Ahmed Al-Boinin riding Diademe De B’Neville finished third (24.32 and 24.14 seconds). Faisal Al-Kahla, Deputy Director of Longines Hathab, presented awards to the winners of the Amateur class.
Speaking to the performance of the riders, Faisal Al-Kahla said that the impressive performance exhibited by riders across different dressage and show jumping categories highlights the favorable environment created by the federation for skill development and potential enhancement. Furthermore, he stated, “Longines Hathab plays a role in uncovering emerging talents and strives to offer riders valuable experiences”.
